ANDROID PRIVACY POLICY
5. Google Play
CodeStock for Android Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
This policy applies to CodeStock for Android, provided by Yuto Ishida (jp.codestock.android), separately from the iOS app.
1. Local records and imports
Codes, amounts, deadlines, usage, history and preferences are stored on your device. The app has no developer-operated account, login, cloud synchronization or synchronization server.
Importing processes text you enter, paste or share and images you select. It does not request access to your entire email account, contacts or photo library. Bundled Japanese OCR runs on-device without sending input images or recognition results to Google for OCR.
Separately, ML Kit may report API usage and performance metrics and device information to Google. This processing is separate from the optional Firebase reporting switch.
2. Clipboard, povo, backups and deletion
Copying places a code on the clipboard. Information pasted into another app follows its policies. Opening povo may pass a link containing the code to povo and its link provider; check acceptance in povo.
Manual backups export codes and preferences as JSON to your chosen destination. External providers apply their own policies. Automatic Android cloud and device-transfer backups are disabled.
Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local records. Manage exported backups and shared information separately. JSON backups exclude entitlements, ad credits and developer-support counts.
3. Advertising and consent
The advertising-supported version uses Google AdMob. Ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention may involve IP-derived approximate location, advertising or other identifiers, interactions and diagnostic or performance data sent to Google. Ad requests and display stop after premium entitlement confirmation.
Google UMP checks regional consent requirements and displays required forms. Required privacy choices can be changed in the app; advertising identifiers can also be managed in Android settings. Unavailable ads do not block basic code management.
4. Optional usage and quality reporting
Reporting is off by default. Enabling it permits Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to send categorized actions, results, count ranges, installation or device identifiers, app and OS information and crash diagnostics to Google. You can disable it in settings. Authentication, Firestore and code synchronization are not used.
Custom Analytics events exclude codes, imported email or OCR text, deadlines, purchase tokens and free-text errors. Automatic SDK events may include app opens and purchase or subscription details such as product IDs, prices and currency. Analytics advertising-ID collection and ad-personalization signals are disabled; AdMob processing is separate.
Disabling reporting does not delete previously transmitted information. Providers’ policies and settings govern processing and retention.
5. Purchases
Google Play processes purchases; the app and developer do not receive payment-card details. The app checks signed purchase information and sends necessary information to Google Play for acknowledgement or consumption.
Developer support is a separate consumable purchase without premium benefits. A token hash and support count are stored locally to prevent duplicate credit. Consumed support counts cannot be restored after reinstalling. iOS purchases do not transfer automatically. Manage cancellation, payment and refunds through Google Play.
6. External services and contact
External links and email services apply their own policies. Contact addresses and messages are used to respond; avoid unnecessary codes or personal information. Providers may process or store information outside Japan. The developer responds to information-handling or deletion requests within the scope they can address.
7. Changes
This page and the in-app explanation will be updated when handling changes.
